The Rise credit card is a Visa product from R Raphael & Sons Plc with this card being serviced by CCUK Finance Ltd. There is a note that the site itself is operated by Credit Benefit Services LLC at the address of www.risecredit.co.uk that looks to have arrived in 2011. The Rise credit card is named as the Rise Visa Card that works differently than most subprime credit cards. It works around set charges based on the monthly balance. They have changed their annual example, but this was an APR figure of 303% that assumes you spent £300 on a purchase at the start and pay it back equally over the year. There will always be a minimum charge of £3.50 that increases with the balance.

A clear monthly balance charge costs £3.50, (£0.01 to £100) is £15, (£100.01 to £200) is £30 and (£200.01 to £300) is £45. Compared to a monthly payday loan, a £15 charge on £100 is impressive. There will be a small fee when withdrawing cash and you must pay £20 on activation that will later become available to you. The credit limit is £300, although this may rise should you manage the card well (they don’t quote figures). There is no account login at www.risecredit.co.uk although SSL is used. To reach the Rise credit card support in Leicester, you can ring them on 0844 556 0300 or email them at customer.relations@therisecard.co.uk. They have additional locations in London and Milton Keynes. Although they aren’t specific about eligibility, bad credit won’t be a problem.
