Payday Lenders

Fancy a Payday @ www.fancyapayday.co.uk

Fancy a Payday (FancyaPayday) is a direct lender based in Bournemouth that serves monthly loans via www.fancyapayday.co.uk. This brand is listed in their terms page as a trading name of Response Funding Ltd and as a trading name of Total Home Loans Direct Ltd in their FAQ. Either way, Fancy a Payday and THL Direct are both companies from the same owner. Fancy a Payday launched a year later than THL in 2009, with both of these brands carrying a similar level of popularity. The loans available are small sitting from £100 to £250. The interest per £100 is £30, there will also be a £25 transfer fee and the transfer fee also strangely attracts interest at 30% (+ £7.50). This equates to a total charge per £100 of £62.50.

Speedy Cash @ www.speedycash.com

Speedy Cash (SpeedyCash) arises from SRC Transatlantic Ltd and can be accessed today at www.speedycash.com. This company notes roots of 1997 although they have been operating online since 2002 where they served their home country in the USA (they entered the UK market in 2010). Their local HQ sits in Nottingham and the Speedy Cash stores are now frequently popping up on many UK high streets (they have 23). You can receive either their standard monthly loan (between £100 and £500) costing £25 per £100 (25%) or you can alternatively opt for their Flex product that differs with a possible £1000 for existing customers and flexible terms (the term is 12 months, but you can pay up at any time). I have placed them in the Payday Lenders category for their monthly loan.

Debit Card Loans @ www.debitcardloans.info

Debit Card Loans (DebitCardLoans) is a direct lender operating at www.debitcardloans.info. This site looks to have sprung up in 2009, although they state within their about section that they have been lending since 1984. No further detail is provided surrounding the roots of this company that is based in Luton. The headlined loans range from £100 to £800 with a note stating the restrictions will likely be in place for new customers. The interest will work at £30 for every £100 borrowed with a further charge of £15 being required for same day funding (slow option is free). As expected, owning a debit card is a must for this loan to be processed and all applicants must be above the age of 21 years old.

You will find headlined monthly loans that can span from £100 to £400 as a new customer, with £1000 being possible for existing customers in due time. Cash 365 (Cash365) is a payday lender based in the Isle of Man that is focussed both on their local market (and the wider UK). The domain at www.cash365.com was originally registered in 2003, although it was updated in late 2011 that was when they began trading online. Umbrella Loans @ www.umbrellaloans.co.uk

Umbrella Loans (UmbrellaLoans) is a direct payday lender that launched back in the year of 2010. They are located at www.umbrellaloans.co.uk with this company being based in Bolton (update: they look to have moved to Warrington now though). Monthly sums from £100 to £500 are available here, with an interest charge being set at 25% of the loan sum (£25 per £100 borrowed). This is a competitive rate considering that this charge does include a same day fund transfer. Umbrella Loans are still a relatively fresh newcomer to the scene and haven't become a recognisable lender in their initial years trading. With the charges provided by them, they do certainly deserve more attention and hopefully this will follow for them over the coming year.

THL Direct @ www.thldirect.co.uk

THL Direct (THLDirect) runs at www.thldirect.co.uk and is based in Bournemouth. This is a trading name of Total Home Loans Direct Ltd with this company also running the Fancy a Payday brand. THL Direct arrived in 2008 with this lender not really making much of an impact within these trading years. At one time they offered loans between £100 and £250 with there now being a set loan of £150 only. The interest works out at £30 per £100 and so this would equate to a £45 charge for the set £150 loan that is in place here. The same day transfer will cost £25, but there is also a 30% charge on the transfer fee and so you can add on a further £7.50 to the pricing.

When you apply at www.accessfastmoney.co.uk the application form is redirected to www.afmapply.co.uk. The cash amounts on the form range from £100 to £250 (update: just £100 or £150 is now available). The interest charge is set at 30% and so you would pay £30 per £100 borrowed from them. They headline both a 48 hour loan (no charge) and a same day loan (£25 transfer charge).

PaydayBox @ www.paydaybox.co.uk

PaydayBox (Payday Box) is a payday lender (unconfirmed) active through www.paydaybox.co.uk that was setup in 2010. This brand was previously listed as being part of Payday Exchange Ltd, but this has now been removed. They previously didn't have a Consumer Credit Licence number listed, although one is displayed now that is shared by other brands including Payday Jungle that itself is listed as being part of Jungle Exchange Ltd. You can see great appeal for these same day no credit check loans up to £1000. This appeal falls short when you spot the required admin fee of £4. This is refunded should you be accepted by them, but if you are declined then you lose this fee and will be redirected to a partner site.
