Payday Lenders

Cash Window @ www.cashwindow.co.uk

Cash Window (CashWindow) is a new name in payday lending that launched recently at www.cashwindow.co.uk in the later stages of 2013. This is actually a fresh rebrand for Early Pay Day Loan who are also well known as EPDL. This is the second high profile lender to start over with the other of course being the transformation of TxtLoan to MyJar. EPDL has been trading since 2003 and so this company stands as one of the industry's most experienced lenders today. The Cash Window loans site has an excellent design that is a big improvement to their previous site that didn't receive too many updates over the years. An optional 3 month term has now been added, but pretty much everything else has remained the same with them.

DirectMoney @ www.directmoney.com

DirectMoney (Direct Money) is a monthly payday lender based in Chessington (Surrey) that resides at the address of www.directmoney.com. This is an aged domain and it is not confirmed when this company (Chromevalue Ltd) took over and launched (it appears to be 2012). Their application form and loan calculator displays amounts between £50 and £400, but £250 is clearly noted as the first time customer restriction. Existing customers may apply for £1000 once logged in to their account. The interest is competitively set at £25 per £100 over the month. There is also a fast transfer fee of £5 that totals 30%. We always add total charges up for display purposes, but they do in fact discount the transfer fee from the funds sent to you.

WageMe @ www.wageme.com

WageMe (Wage Me) is a payday lender that launched at www.wageme.com recently in the summer of 2012. The WageMe loans range between £50 and £400 with there being a possible sum of £750 for past customers. When it comes to the pricing on these monthly loans, they charge £39 per £100 and a note besides shows an optional fast transfer fee of £15. I did notice that there is a WageMe promo code box that would likely be for this transfer fee. I did look around for this WageMe promo code, but couldn't find any details on their Facebook and Twitter pages (or elsewhere). Despite not being active for much time, this company has already picked up a following and has plenty of positive feedback on consumer review sites such as Trustpilot.

BishBoshDosh @ www.bishboshdosh.com

BishBoshDosh is a fresh face in the payday loan industry that launched in 2012 at the address of www.bishboshdosh.com. The BishBoshDosh payday loans are being introduced here, although they also offer logbook loans on the same site that can be taken up to £30,000. You can apply for between £100 and £400 when you first arrive with £1000 being possible once you have repaid back loans to them. These BishBoshDosh loans generally work around your next payday and so £100 over 30 days would cost a little under 1% daily at £29.58. Slow funding is free, but if you want same day funding then you will have to pay £3 that is a reasonable price for a Faster Payments Service transfer.

The main feature of note with this lender is that they offer their first loan for free. The initial Vivus loans can be applied for from £50 to £300. RedWallet @ www.redwallet.com

RedWallet (Red Wallet) is a direct lender based in Malton (North Yorkshire) that operates from www.redwallet.com. This domain was initially devised in 2008, but it was updated in 2012 and from checking their Facebook page they do note that the launch came in late 2012. The RedWallet payday loans range from £100 to £400 that are taken over a full monthly period. A same day transfer by the Faster Payments Service comes at no additional cost. There is a 29% charge in place that equates to £29 per £100 that you borrow from them. This is a good overall rate, but it gets much better through their recent cashback incentive of £10 when you repay on time. This creates an excellent monthly rate of just £19 per £100 (this is for new customers).

Liquid Advance @ www.liquidadvance.com

Liquid Advance (LiquidAdvance) is a payday brand arising from Yes Solutions Ltd that can be reached at www.liquidadvance.com. This domain was registered back in 2007 although no details are provided on the particular launch time. This company has arrived in from the USA, but just which brand they run in their home country is unknown. The Liquid Advance loans range from £100 to £360 for new customers, with £750 being available for return customers. The starting sum on the application form is £200 though. The interest rate is fixed at 35% and so you would pay £35 on every £100 that you borrow. There is a listed same day transmission fee of £10 that is now noted as being a required charge and so the full cost will be set at £45 per £100.

Cash Central @ www.cashcentral.co.uk

Cash Central (CashCentral) is an established payday lender in their home country of the USA that is a part of Direct Financial Solutions LLC. They have recently moved into UK territory at www.cashcentral.co.uk that dates back to 2000 although an update was made a few months into 2012 that looks to have been the local launch. The Cash Central loans site is well presented, but some of the information is unclear at this time. They for example state that the available sums depend entirely on the income level, providing no ranges. Within their fees section though they provide cost breakdowns for between £100 and £600 that may be the available sums. The interest charge will be set over the month at 25% (£25 per £100).

The Quick Loan Shop Ltd @ www.thequickloanshopltd.co.uk

The Quick Loan Shop Ltd (TheQuickLoanShopLtd) is a payday lender that entered the industry recently in 2012 at www.thequickloanshopltd.co.uk. You can apply for between £50 to £500 here with there being a fixed 25% interest charge (£25 per £100). It is good to see that they throw in a free Faster Payments Service transfer and so the 25% charge will be the only due cost that makes The Quick Loan Shop Ltd a competitive new lender on the scene. They have opted to lend over the full month, rather than offer flexible terms. I was only recently introduced to them from spotting their listing on a payday loan review site. It is of course early days for this lender, but they do send out great first impressions.
